- Six-time PRCA Clown of the Year
Like many others in his profession, Troy has a strong rodeo background. His father, Lynn, was a team roper, and his mother, Penny, is a former rodeo queen. Growing up in Utah, Troy received his first horse when he was just four years old. But by age 10, he had chosen another kind of mount for himself – a motorcycle. He entered his first race at 12. At age 18, he was the top man in professional motor cross in Utah. In 1992, he opened his own motor bike retail and repair shop in his hometown of Payson, UT.
Troy started his bullfighting career in 1994, then joined the PRCA in 1997 and became a barrel man too. During this time, he began working to include his cycling skills in his rodeo act. “I told myself that somehow it had to be possible to jump a Dodge pickup truck and a Bloomer trailer with my dirt bike,” he said.
His crazy act is no way mild. Look out! He’s here!
